1. SCOPE
This Privacy Policy explains how the RIVERSIDE HOTELS Android application, provided for RIVERSIDE HOTELS LLC, handles information used by its on-device hotel stay-planning features.
2. REQUIRED INFORMATION ENTERED BY THE USER
The local reservation form requires:
- Full name: identifies the guest within the saved local stay plan.
- Email address: keeps a contact detail within the local record. It is not used by the reservation form to send or submit the booking.
- Check-in date and check-out date: define the intended stay period and allow the app to calculate the number of nights.
- Number of adults and number of children: record intended occupancy and allow validation against the selected room's guest limit.
- Selected room type: identifies the room option chosen for the local stay plan.
3. OPTIONAL INFORMATION ENTERED BY THE USER
The form can also store:
- Phone number: keeps an additional contact detail in the local record.
- Accessibility needs: preserves accessibility preferences entered by the user.
- Stay notes: preserves additional instructions or preferences entered by the user.
- Parking selection: records whether the user included on-site parking in the local estimate.
4. OTHER INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY
For each saved reservation, the app stores the selected room identifier, the dates, adult and child counts, required and optional form fields, the parking selection, and the non-card payment direction "Pay at property." The app automatically creates and stores a local record identifier, creation time and the local status "Saved locally."
The app can also store favourite room identifiers and identifiers for recently viewed rooms. These items support on-device favourites and recent-room history.
The app displays a reference nightly rate, number of nights and estimated total. The rate is part of the app's bundled room data, while nights and totals are calculated from the stored room choice, dates and parking selection. These calculated amounts are not separate online quotes and do not indicate live availability or a confirmed booking.
5. STORAGE METHOD AND LOCATION
Reservation records, favourite identifiers and recent-room identifiers are stored in Android SharedPreferences in the app's private storage area on the user's device. The app does not use a backend server, cloud database or booking API for these records.
6. NO TRANSACTIONAL TRANSMISSION
Saving a reservation does not email, upload, share or transmit the information to a hotel, RIVERSIDE HOTELS LLC, the privacy contact, a developer, an API or another external server. Wording such as "Booking details received by the app," "Saved locally" or "In process on this device" describes only a local app/device status. It is not a hotel acceptance, confirmation, payment or fulfilment status.
7. RETENTION
Information remains in SharedPreferences until the user deletes an individual reservation, uses More > Clear all local data, clears the application's storage through Android settings or uninstalls the app. Favourite and recent-room data follow the same retention rule.
8. DELETION AND USER CHOICES
Users can delete individual saved reservations from the Saved on this device screen. More > Clear all local data removes saved reservations, favourites and recent-room history. Android system settings can also clear all app storage, and uninstalling the app removes its local data. Users may leave optional fields blank.
9. CONTACT EMAIL ACTION
The Contact Us screen can open an installed external email application for a general enquiry. The app does not automatically attach or copy saved reservation data into that email. Any information the user independently types or sends in the external email application is handled by the selected email provider under its own privacy terms. The app does not use email, SMS, WhatsApp or another external communication application to submit the reservation form.
10. PAYMENTS
The app does not process online payments. It does not request or store full card numbers, card expiration dates, CVV or CVC codes, card PINs, online-banking credentials or raw payment credentials. The only payment-related value stored with a reservation is the non-card direction "Pay at property."
11. AUTOMATIC COLLECTION, INTERNET AND PERMISSIONS
The app does not automatically collect analytics, advertising identifiers, precise or approximate location, device contacts, camera data, microphone data, media files or notification data. The application declares no Android runtime permissions. Core room photographs are bundled locally and do not require a third-party image-loading service. The app does not use an external browser action or a company website.
12. SERVICES NOT USED
The app does not use Firebase, analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, authentication, user accounts, remote configuration, cloud storage, a payment gateway or a live hotel booking service.
13. DATA SHARING
The app does not share locally saved reservation, favourite or recent-room information with third parties. Information is disclosed outside the app only when the user independently enters and sends content through an external email application.
14. SECURITY LIMITATIONS
SharedPreferences is stored in the application's private device storage, but the app does not apply separate application-level encryption to these records. Device security, backups controlled by the operating system and access to the physical device can affect confidentiality. No method of local storage can be guaranteed completely secure.
15. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The app is intended for adults planning hotel stays. It records only the number of children included in a proposed stay and does not request children's names, contact details or identity documents.
16. PHOTOGRAPHY, PRICES AND BOOKING STATUS
Bundled hospitality photographs are reference images and do not guarantee an exact assigned room. U.S. dollar room and parking figures are static reference prices and may change. The app does not provide live availability, confirmed reservations or server-generated booking numbers.
17. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
This policy may be updated when the application's actual features or data practices change. The effective date above identifies this version.
